Keeping Vulnerable Family Members Safe

At a recent food pantry, a woman told MMCC staff that their work had saved her grandmother’s life. The woman received COVID-19 test kits from MMCC at a recent event, and she distributed them to her entire family just before her grandmother’s arrival. The entire family tested positive. When her grandmother arrived, she was isolated and remained COVID-negative throughout the visit. This experience helped the family protect their grandmother, and when the vaccine became available, the entire family signed up to receive it.
