Staff at The Latin American Community Center (LACC) in Wilmington, Delaware understands the importance of COVID-19 testing in protecting their community. They have held regular COVID-19 testing clinics, providing this much needed service with assistance in both English and Spanish. In addition to on-site PCR testing, LACC provided rapid testing and at-home test kits to families. They’ve also partnered with other local organizations to provide testing to at-risk communities, including seniors living in a residential complex. And when the vaccine became available, LACC began putting on monthly vaccine clinics to their surrounding community and provided support and reassurance to community members who felt hesitant about receiving the vaccine.
