Asian Health Services (AHS)’s regular mobile clinics serve predominately Vietnamese and Cantonese-speaking Asian communities in Oakland, CA. These clinics provide multilingual COVID-19 testing, vaccination, and educational information. Although community members were initially hesitant, the option to speak in their native languages and the consistent presence of the AHS clinics has helped to ease people’s fears and encourage them to take advantage of all the available COVID-19 services. AHS has had a tremendous impact on everyone, as evidenced by the enthusiasm of both elderly community members and individuals without permanent housing who now warmly greet the AHS team at every event and frequently ask, “Is it time for my next shot yet?”
